With the amount of charity work being done with children, I felt it best to have something the children knew and could enjoy.  Most of the cos-players tend to stick with Marvel characters. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I felt that opened up a new opportunity.  DC has a whole world opening up with Arrow, Flash and Gotham.  There has also been the announced additional shows starting in the Fall and movies in works such as Justice League and Suicide Squad.  So I decided to go with Oliver Queen as Arrow, Season 1 green suit.  It is a more basic outfit compared to the current version, mostly because the bow can be made for less than $200 versus around $1000.00 for just the bow, stock.   So here is the work done to my Ragim Matrix Jr. 48 to make it the same as what is seen on screen.

Work up of bow. Markings burned into the freshly sanded wood, Nautical parts and hinges added with sinew and bicycle handlebar straps.

Limbs painted black.  Later tips would need to be painted gold.  Sting would have tan painted on it to give it a more screen accurate look.

After completing the bow with some additional painting and attaching the hinges and extra sinew, this was the result.

Custom made M8 size bolts were added to the limbs for screen accuracy.
